The Top Ten Kicks List
So, as you may already know, I love sneakers. I thought I would give you all my Top Ten of all time. There’s not really a criteria for this, but I tried to get a wide variety of kicks in. So, here’s the list:

10. The Reebok Omni Pump. I had to throw these in here. The Pump is just a cray concept, right? It gives you a custom fit. The ones pictured above are the Dee Brown edition. This shoe, like most on the list, comes in a slew of crazy colorways, but I wanted to give you guys a simple representation of each shoe on the list. This is a great example.

9. Adidas Superstar. Everyone should have these on their list cause everyone has owned a pair of these. As everyone knows, Run DMC made these great kicks famous. They’re so recognizable, so iconic. Plus, they last forever.
8. Nike Air Max 1. The first Nikes on the list. The first Air Max. This shoe started the tech that would set Nike apart in the running world. The styling is so simple, so clean.
7. New Balance 574. This shoe is all-around great. You can keep it simple with the grey or navy colorways, but you can also get nuts with the limited editions they have. Its also ridiculously comfortable.
6. Nike Dunk Hi. What is there really to say about this shoe. Dunks are like Assholes. Everyone’s got ‘em. I’m really not an enormous fan of the Dunk. Why number 6? Because of what this shoe did for the sneaker industry. Without the Dunk, people wouldn’t be doing the crazy things theyre doing with colorways and styles these days. It was this shoe that gave the high-end sneaker scene a jumpstart.
5. Etnies Sal23. You’re not gonna find too many people that put this on their Top Ten, much less at number five. There are a couple reason why I love this shoe. It was the first skate shoe I NEEDED. It’s really simple, AND it has the 23 on the side! 23 is my shit! LOVE IT!
4. Air Jordan 11. This shoe is beautiful. It was also, the first to sport the patent leather. These shoes are as comfortable on the court as they are in the ballroom…..classy!
3. Vans Authentic. This is a new addittion to my list of favorites because I just got into them in the last couple years, but I already own 3 pairs (Red, White, and Blue). The most simple of the shoes on the list, you can wear these shoes with literally everything! And the more you wear them, the better they get.
2. Es Eric Koston 1. The Air Jordans of skate shoes. I’ve had 3 pairs of these. They were groundbreaking when they came out. Erick Koston had 7 models on Es. He then left, went to Lakai for a year or two, and has left them too. Now, there’s all kinds of speculation as to where he’s going to end up. Most people think it will be either Vans (his favorite brand growing up), or Nike (holy shit! if that happens).
I almost put this shoe as number one, but I had to save number one for the Holy grail…….
1. Nike Air Jordan 1. Yes, the Holy Grail of sneakers. This shoe started everything. It was the first Air Jordan!!! Michael actually got find for a pair of these in Red/Black because it was against the rules to wear shoes that didn;t have any white on them. This was also the first sneaker I can remember having. I was 3 or 4 years old. My sister worked at Foot Locker and bought them for me. I wore the shit out of them. They might have been the only shoe I wore during their life. I’ve always wanted to find a really good pair in the above colorway, but they’re so hard to find. One day.
So there it is. I know most of you will probably disagree with this list, and that’s ok. Send me your thoughts.
